Cádiz vs. Barcelona paused after fan suffers heart attack
A supporter having a heart attack in the stands on Saturday momentarily put an end to Barcelona's game against Cádiz.
The individual was successfully treated with a defibrillator, according to a statement from Cádiz.
He was taken away in a stretcher and checked into a nearby hospital.
According to Cadiz, the athletes from Barcelona also made a defibrillator available to the medical professionals.
Jeremas Ledesma of Cádiz assisted in carrying medical supplies while Ronald Araujo of Barcelona prayed.
Players waited on the field for more than ten minutes before play resumed.
In the Spanish league match, Barcelona was leading 2-0 when the referee gave the order for them to leave and go to the locker rooms.
After a more than 30-minute break, the game was resumed for the last eight minutes. Barcelona eventually prevailed 4-0.
Coach Xavi Hernández of Barcelona remarked, "We hope that he gets recovered as quickly as possible.
